Two forms of hedonism: Hegesias of Cyrene and the ancient Chinese philosopher Yang Zhu*
The report is devoted to the comparison of two forms of hedonism: the ancient Greek philosopher-cyrenaic Hegesias and the ancient Chinese philosopher Yang Zhu. On the basis of extant evidence, common and different points of view are identified. The question of the degree of argumentation of their positions is raised. Information about the teachers of these thinkers and their followers is attracted. The possibility of the influence of Buddhism on Hegesias and Yang Zhu is considered.
