Gregory Palamas in his earliest work “On the Life of Peter the Athonite» uses terminology and logical constructions, which drawn from En. V.3 by Plotinus, focused on the doctrine on the Intellect. However, these ‘neoplatonic’ fragments, upon closer examination, contain criticism of Plotinus’ doctrine on the Intellect and teachings of modern theologians, based on this doctrine.
